Hell in a Fuckbasket...
...that just never gets old
Hell's Peoples
Ok, everyone, I'm opening the list up again. At this time I'm taking 3 more people. The way it works is this:

When I have a Vamp ready to bite, I contact you. I send you the code in case the bitten egg abandons. If it does, you keep it! If not, I keep it. BUT you stay on the list until you get a Vamp from me, no matter how many you have from elsewhere. :) I will also gift Vamp hatchlings that gender opposite what I need (females, at this moment) to the person at the top of my list.

At this moment, I only have 4 people on my waiting list.

Want to be added? Comment here with your scroll. This is not first come, first serve. Preference will be given to those I have traded with before and trust, although I will consider all entries. Thanks!

20th-Nov-2009 11:08 am - A money question...
The church I work at is having a tea and craft sale. Some of the older ladies make stuff to donate, we sell it and keep the money for the church. Anyway, one lady has donated a couple of amazing afghans. One is 72" x 72", in blue and grey, acrylic yarn. The other is 62" x 62" and is made from 100% cotton. Both are basically giant granny squares. We have *no* idea how much to ask for these. What do you all think?

EDIT: They decided to put them up for silent auction, with a starting bid of $35.

I'm tempted... I'm *so* tempted.
20th-Nov-2009 09:43 am - Pattern help
So you have to be a member to see this page but they have a lot of neat patterns so you should join anyway!

http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/60422.html?noImages=0&r=1&r=1

It says to use 4 strands of micro spun. I know I wouldn't get the same multicoloredness but could I use a single strand of super bulky like...variegated yarn instead? I don't know if I could crochet with 4 skeins of yarn and not die from accidentally strangling myself but my niece really wants this hat so I will try if I have too.
20th-Nov-2009 04:16 pm - YAY
I'm sick + bored so I decided I wanted to crochet a beanie. This is my second beanie ever and I guess I kinda like it. I don't really feel the need to grab my camera so I just post a webcamphoto and a photo from the yarn that I stole from the website where I ordered it 2 photos )

20th-Nov-2009 07:47 am - saying hi
Hi folks. I am new to the group so I thought I'd say hello first! My mom has crocheted all my life but whenever she'd try to teach me, we'd both end up frustrated. Finally, I decided I would not be terrorized by a ball of yarn and I hit up the internet and some patient friends and I learned! Well, I'm learning, I could probably do this for years and still be learning! I've made a few hats, a tiny little scarf, and today I'm starting a little pouch for my sons go-go? toys and some stuffed penguins. I wish I had learned a little sooner so I could have made some xmas gifts!

Does anyone get crochet today magazine? One of my kids wants a hat that was featured in the Jan/Feb issue this year but I can't stomach paying $10 to buy the back issue and have it shipped, and my local library doesn't carry it. I'm hoping to find it a little cheaper somewhere else!

Have: One (1) 12th gen curled alt black hatchling, no inbreeding that I could spot. You can see its lineage here.

I'm also happy to try breeding anything else you'd like from my scroll. I have a newblood project going with my seasonals, and I'd be delighted to breed another like this one. I also have five silver dragons and two gold dragons for you to choose from, and I'll breed any combination you like. All that I ask is that no matter what the result is, you'll take it onto your scroll. Freezing is fine, just please be sure to give them a name!

Want: One (1) Vampire egg or hatchling, seeing as I still haven't managed to get my hands on one yet. I don't care about inbreeding, I'd just really like to be able to get my hands on at least one vampire.

You can view my scroll here.

Postcard winners!

We wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude for sending so much joy our way. Frank is still blushing with excitement over the love notes, proposals, propositions, and occasional intimate photos sent from his admirers around the world (China, Norway, Japan, and Poland just this week)! At his request, we blindfolded Justin, one of Frank's BFFs, spun him around in five dozen counterclockwise circles, and asked him to point to ten random postcards/envelopes pasted to the wall. After a brief trip to the bathroom, he chose the following lucky winners, to whom we will give a six-month paid account token (for paid, basic, and plus users) or, for our permanent account holders, a $15 voucher for the LiveJournal gift shop.

Have: clean 4th-gen split egg rescued from the AP, which I'm giving away because I also picked up its sibling. XD

Want: second-or-low-gen alt black, or best offer (no stripes or vines plz). It'd be fun if we picked similar names for them once they gendered, but that's up to you. ^___^
19th-Nov-2009 01:11 pm - Trade =)
Will trade any or all of these for a vampire of any kind or stage. (I'd even prefer an inbred one, for after all they don't breed; so it wouldn't make any difference, right? <3)

- One Silver hatchling, clean lined (with a number of Silvers in the lineage), 8th gen: Lineage
- One Dorkface/Thuwed Pink hatchling, female, clean lines, 7th gen: Lineage
- One EVEN fourth gen lineage of pure whiteXsilver, white egg: Lineage
- One clean lined Dorkface/Thuwed white hatchling, with goldXsilver cross in mother's lineage; VERY long line on the father's side tracing back to Midas Dorkface at its longest point, and also containing two pairs of Thuweds from TJ's scroll. 19th gen lineage with not a trace of inbreeding: Inbreeding Checker

My scroll

Comment here if you're interested. <3 I can use MSN or AIM, or the IRC for trades.

Have a 6th gen, clean-lined, vine, Thuwed/Dorkface hatchling that needs a home ASAP. I want it to go somewhere that will continue the name and breed it.

Contact me here or on AIM: ladyadiratyree if you are interested.
